OpenDNS manually configured vs. NetGear provided solution
I have been using OpenDNS for quite a while and simply manually configured the DNS servers on my router. I just replace my router with a NetGear router that has configuration options for Live Parental Control which uses OpenDNS
Anyone have an opinion of the Netgear configured solution versus continuing to configure on my own? Should I go to the trouble to switch over to their solution or just stick with what I am doing since I know how to do it direct.?

These are the main differences between LPC and Home Basic:
- The LPC dashboard is at http://netgear.opendns.com/ whereas the "normal" dashboard is at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
- LPC does not come with stats and logs, but OpenDNS Home Basic does.
- LPC settings are associated with your Netgear router device ID, whereas OpenDNS Home Basic settings are associated with your public IP address. That said, you'll have to run an Updater with Home Basic, not so with LPC.
- With LPC you can configure separate settings by Windows and Mac OSX user ID (bypass accounts), whereas Home Basic has only one configuration set.
- LPC supports scheduled content filtering. This is not supported by Home Basic.
