Why do the parental controls NOT work?

I have the parental control set to "moderate" which should block out ALL adult only material, plus a few other things.  I just tried to test the filter and googled "porn" and saw some things I never want to see again.  What's the deal?  This is unacceptable.

  Did you see these things within the Google search engine?  If so, you cannot block partial content on Google (or anywhere else) with OpenDNS and LPC.  You just can block complete domains with a DNS service.

  You'll have to utilize Google's SafeSearch feature for this: https://startpage.com/do/search?q=Google+SafeSearch
  Or you have to block the Search Engines category with LPC too.

  That's the deal and what is technically possible with the service.

  "This is unacceptable."

  Your decision?  Fine, but that's it how it works.
