    Hello,

Can you please provide the model of the TV as well as your Internet Provider - there may be a way to manually bypass the filtering on your TV. You may also email us at support@opendns.com and we will further assist you there if you wish (be sure to comment here that you did so that I may more quickly locate your ticket.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for the information. I've located a resource for your TV model (may differ by region) for setting up your TV in such a way that it will not use the OpenDNS setup in your home. To do, please follow the guide at http://help.unotelly.com/support/articles/24625-setting-up-sony-bravia-tv, but replace their guide's servers (Google - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) with your ISP's DNS servers to return it to the settings you'd have if not using OpenDNS (DNS primaire 80.10.246.2, DNS secondaire 80.10.246.129).

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to respond to this message.

    Best regards,

Hmm, I heard that Netgear LPC does not allow to bypass DNS with direct passthrough of DNS traffic, i.e. altering DNS on end user devices wouldn't work.  Isn't that right anymore, and OpenDNS can be circumvented that way?

I apologize for the mixup - rotblitz is correct - the NETGEAR live parental controls do not enable you to bypass specific devices by changing their DNS settings. To allow one device separately, you would need to disable the Live Parental Controls, configure the NETGEAR router to use 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 as its DNS servers, and use the standard OpenDNS Home Basic service for filtering the network.

    I apologize for the confusion.
