Why links with https cant be blocked?

example:

http://facebook.com - blocked

https://facebook.com - free to go.

Any propositions?

It seems your browser is circumventing somehow, e.g. you didn't flush your local caches after a settings change. HTTPS or not (i.e. the protocol) is totally unrelated to DNS.
