Is router model WGR614V10 still supported for parental controls?

I am trying to get Parental Controls to work on my wgr614v10 again. When I open the User Utility I now get the message: It looks like you may not be connected to the Internet through a supported NETGEAR router. Please make sure your computer is connected to your NETGEAR router via a  wireless or Ethernet connection and try again. If this problem persists, turn off your router and turn it back on, wait till LEDs are lit, and  try again. For further assistance visit http://netgear.opendns.com/support

So here I am. I KNOW  that I am connected to the the Internet via my wgr614v10 router otherwise I wouldn't be connected. I have been trying to see if I can update my router but I have changed the password from "password" and I can't remember what it is. Is this router still supported for Parental Controls? Shall I keep trying to figure out my password or do I need to go buy a new router?

  Is that clever?  You need access to your router  to solve your issues.  So, reset your router to it's factory defaults to gain access and start all over again.  I.e.   you must run the Management Utility or Netgear Genie to go through some basic settings.
