Sites not blocked on hard-wired desktop
I have Netgear Parental Controls set up through my wireless router, and they work fine on every device in my home EXCEPT the desktop that is hard-wired via Ethernet to the router. The DNS settings for the wireless adapter are correct, and I do not have a bypass account set up.
Any thoughts on what I can try?

If you use a Netgear router with LPC enabled, you must not use the normal OpenDNS Home. These two are not compatible. Visit https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ to delete the network defined there, and possibly uninstall the Updater you're running. Your dashboard is only at https://netgear.opendns.com/ - do not use the other dashboard!

That is so weird...because I haven't used the normal OpenDNS Home on this desktop before. I think I used it a couple of years ago, but this is now a new computer and a new router.
But sure enough...I went to that first dashboard link and there was a defined network there. Could that have been a "leftover" from using OpenDNS Home years ago? I deleted it, but that didn't seem to do anything.
On a whim I tried something else and created a bypass account on the misbehaving desktop. I set it for one step lower on the level of Parental Controls, and that seemed to work. So strange. I can live with it, though...I have the level set higher on the wireless network because of the kids, but I'm the only one who uses this desktop and it still blocks the really nasty stuff.
Quite a weird little adventure that shows me how little I know about DNS settings. :) Appreciate your help.
