Try the following steps to see if they resolve the issue:

Restart the router and wait for two minutes before turning it back on.

Plug the router into any machine using the wired (ethernet) connection.

Launch the Netgear Live Parental Controls Management Utility and hit Control + D. If you are using OS X, then press Command + D.

Select Clear saved credentials. If you are using OS X, select misc from the menu option and then clear saved credentials.

Exit the Launch the Netgear Live Parental Controls Management Utility

Launch the Netgear Live Parental Controls Management Utility again and try to login to the router.

It is actually 23:30 now (not 15:13 as stated on my post) so i will have to try this in the morning. Thanks for your prompt reply.

just as i was about to logoff and shut down, i thought i would try enabling the Parental Control using my iPhone app... and it worked! I discovered that i was able to re-enable the Parental Control using the app and when i checked online, i found the Parental Control has been enabled.

Worth adding this to the list of possible solutions.

"Launch the Netgear Live Parental Controls Management Utility"

Chris, this is confusing.  Your colleague Brian said very recently one should not use this program any longer, but only the Netgear Genie program.

    Please clarify.
