When I enable LPC the DNS settings change and internet access is terminated

I just installed the Live Parental Controls with my new Netgear AC1900 driver, and when I enable the LPC my computer loses access to internet. Chrome says "Resolving Host" and can't open any website pages, even is the LPC filters are set to none. What is interesting is that this happens only on my PC, all other wireless devices seem to be working fine, and the LPC are working correctly, and blocking what they are supposed to block.

With a little more research I found that when I change the TCP/IPv4 settings to "Obtain DNS server address automatically" the internet becomes available again, however it only lasts for about a minute, and then the TCP/iPv4 settings go back to a fixed setting and I again lose internet connection.

I have also installed in my computer the Norton Security Suite from Comcast. Not sure if this has something to do with it or not.

So as of now, I can't have the LPC enabled in my new router, otherwise I lose internet connection.

Any idea of what is causing this and if there is a setting I can change to resolve the issue?

  Disable the part of your Norton appliance which changes your network settings and take care that the PC obtains the network settings automatically.

  I don't know how to tweak the Norton settings.  You may need to refer to Norton or Comcast support.
