Live parental controls bypassed with private browsing?
I have the LPC set up on my netgear router. I have found that it works great in regular browsing, but when using any browser in private browsing window opendns is allowed to be bypassed. Why is that? Is there a way to stop that?
Thanks for the help.

Sorry, but I have not been able to post due to the kids watching my every move. I am able to go to websites utilizing my Android tablet. I can open an incognito browsing window, do a search on google and get to various websites featuring nudity, graphic scenes, etc. I have tried the same search using the regular browsing mode and those were blocked. I have also to limited degree been able to do it with private browsing using Mozilla and I.E. I have had to download NetNanny for the kids tablets (mainly for when they log into a wireless network somewhere else), but I don't really want to put it onto all of the other computers in the house that the kids have access to. I have done various searches and various search terms (all based on "naked lady" and some action she performs) and can still get to websites that I don't want my kids to see.
I have done the google safe search on their computers, but that is just one search engine. I know that there are plenty of different search engines out there, I would just like one main way to stop this from happening. I was under the impression that open dns would stop this from happening. I am utilizing the NetGear router with the LPC.

As I said, you cannot circumvent or bypass OpenDNS with private browsing mode. This is unrelated. And if you haven't blocked Google you will indeed see everything Google is presenting. If you get different results with incognito mode and normal mode, then different SafeSearch settings may take effect, or other tools you may have in use locally.

Your main way is to block the category Search Engines then. And yes, OpenDNS stops from happening to access domains you have blocked with it. OpenDNS as DNS service can block based on domain names only, not based on images, web pages, keywords or any other objects. You'll have to use the search engine specific tools like SafeSearch to filter within a seach engine.

Then why is it when I click on a link in the Google search or any other search while in incognito mode does it allow me to go to the various porn websites??? If I enter the domain name in incognito mode myself I can go to it, but if I enter the same domain name manually in my browser in normal mode then I get the opendns block message. Is there something I need to check mark to block on opendns???
Thanks for the help

Also, for whatever reason you may not use OpenDNS under certain circumstances.
Check it at http://welcome.opendns.com/ in cases where you don't see the expected blocking. -
OpenDNS currently does not enforce safe search. Effectively this means a user can easily access inappropriate content by entering incognito or inprivate modes, searching for anything they want using google, yahoo, or bing, and seeing anything they want by clicking on the image tab. All the major search engines cache the image content on their servers. Because OpenDNS is DNS based, the only way it can block this route is to blacklist google.com, yahoo.com, and bing.com. This is an highly undesirable solution, because these are the primary means of interacting with the internet. This incognito->search->images ultimately bypasses most parental control software and parental control routers. I've found three routers that conveniently enforce safe search at the router (I'm not affiliated with any of these in anyway. I'm just a concerned parent doing their homework.):
www.kibosh.net (enforce safe search + service)
http://www.blocksi.net/parental-control.php (enforce safe search + service or openDNS)
https://www.pcwrt.com/ (enforce safe search + openDNS)
