I've using using LPC on the router and it's really starting to annoy now. I have so many things that are not Windows or Apple devices and I want full internet access on those.
I have TV media boxes that I wish to work, but don't. These are mostly Linux boxes.
Can netgear not provide some tools for this?
I tried changing the DNS on the media box so it used 188.8.131.52 thinking this might avoid the blocks, but these still does not seem to work. How can I bypass controls on my Linux box?
If there are no proper linux tools provided then WTF can you not just add a MAC address override in the router settings? So we can just allow a device that netgear can't even support to fully work, IF that is what we want?
If's really not acceptable for netgear not to provide the option of some kind of bypass (where user permits) for devices that netgear can't be bothered to, or is not able to, support.
Initially, some kinds of workable Linux solution would seem most needed!!!
