    Hi,

To verify that you have our service setup correctly, I need you to tell me the results for the following sites:

    • welcome.opendns.com
    • exampleadultsite.com
    • internetbadguys.com
    • myip.dnsomatic.com

    Looking forward to your response.

Beside the settings on your dashboard, did you also configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses on your router or your devices?  (You didn't mention that you did.)

I seemed to have a similar problem. Results for the URL's untherneath:

    • welcome.opendns.com (tell's me I am using: "Your Internet is safer, faster, and smarter because you’re using OpenDNS."
    • exampleadultsite.com ("If you were using OpenDNS Parental Controls or Web Filtering for business, this demo and real adult sites would be blocked.")
    • internetbadguys.com ("If you were using OpenDNS, real phishing sites would be blocked.")
    • myip.dnsomatic.com ("77.174.252.110" the IP I setup)

I am using the following DNS settings: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (in my router)

    The setting is "Moderate"

Looking forward to your response. Hope for some help...

As for the reply of "rotblitz" "configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses on your router" I did not find any instruction on how to do that...

BTW if I am looking at my statistics in opendns.com I see blocked sites in the statistics, however these sites are just shown with all the content in my browser...

No luck with your search strategies?  You may need to improve that!
    Here you go: https://support.opendns.com/forums/21618374-Router-Configuration-best-for-home-use-

"I see blocked sites in the statistics, however these sites are just shown with all the content in my browser..."

Does your ISP use caching?  Test it!  http://www.lagado.com/tools/cache-test
This would explain the symptoms you're facing.

    "I opened my own threath!"

I don't see your own thread, therefore responded here.

@rotblitz oke I understand now about the resolver addresses in the router. I already did that and now I tried both ("To use FamilyShield, you should set your DNS server entries: 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123.  On our website, you'll may notice that OpenDNS' DNS servers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220, but these do not apply to FamilyShield customers.").

But both gave the same issues. So I need to try the ISP cache then?

"So I need to try the ISP cache then?"

Yes, would I have posted the link else?

I seem to be having a similar problem. The filter works but only on my computer, it doesn't seem to be filtering the sites i blocked on other devices connected to the WiFi, is there possibly a step i missed or something i'm doing wrong?

    Hope you can help.

@joe787 This is not a similar problem. The original poster did not get any filtering, whereas you are getting filtering on a device on your network. Rather than continuing to hijack this thread with something that is not the same thing please start your own thread.
