I've tried to block harmful sites, esp. hard core porn, buy it still shows some sites. What am I doing wrong and can you advise, please

I can't seem to block all pornography on my computer. Can you advise me, please?

  As you posted under the Netgear Live Parental Controls section, do you have a Netgear router with LPC enabled?

  No matter, you check at the domain tagging area if the related domain names are categorized at all and with the appropriate category:
  https://community.opendns.com/domaintagging/

  If not, you'll want to submit them under the appropriate category:
  https://community.opendns.com/domaintagging/submit/

  If you don't want to wait for the approval, you can add the domain names to your "always block" list as an immediate measure.
  In case of Netgear LPC you'll be following these instructions: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20483/

  If none of the adult sites are being blocked, then you may have a different problem, e.g. not sending your DNS queries to OpenDNS at all (http://welcome.opendns.com/).
