making sure i control my current netgear router

My brother in law set up this router for us while I was traveling, I just want to make sure that my opendns account is set up for me for this router.

You can check it with running Netgear Genie (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25687/) and also at https://netgear.opendns.com/

In order to find out if OpenDNS is working properly on your network, I would suggest opening a ticket with us and including the results of the Diagnostic Tool in it.
