League of Legends and Custom Time blocks
I am trying to allow League of Legends only during certain times. Problem is that if the kids log in during open times and leave the connection open, the router will not block the existing connection. It will only block "new" connections. I am not trying to block all game playing. The "Games" category works except for this loophole. Is there anything else I can do besides dropping the hammer and blocking the domain altogether and opening manually every time??

Live Parental Controls is based on DNS and therefore takes effect only if a new DNS query is due for a domain. Existing connections do not require a new DNS query which is why you made this correct observation: "the router will not block the existing connection. It will only block "new" connections".
To block specific keywords (as in domain names or URLs) you'll have to use another pure internal router function, unrelated to LPC and OpenDNS categories:

Not sure if the behavior of this feature is any different from LPC. I.e. I do not know if existing connections are dropped when the schedule is reached. Whatever, this is a pure Netgear feature, so you'll have to refer to them for further details.
