This has been reported in the forums several times in the last few weeks. At the time we suggested that those reporting it open a support ticket with OpenDNS but as I recall there was no response so I don't know if this has ever been reported to OpenDNS. My suggestion to you is the same, open a ticket as it seems that OpenDNS is not properly dealing with this TLD and perhaps others.

Rotblitz - from your other posts you're clearly knowledgeable - do you have any thoughts why OpenDNS might be struggling with this? They have closed my ticket about xonline.vip without resolution.

Did they close the ticket without resolution or without explanation? If it was without explanation reopen the ticket and ask for a status update. rotblitz has provided all of the publicly available information there is on this. If you get some additional information via your ticket please share it.

mattwilson9090 - neither resolution nor explanation, really, other than their reply which was, "Unfortunately it appears that this particular issue will take a long time to correct and we have no ETA on when it will be completed. For this reason we will be marking this ticket as solved, however if you need any further assistance, please reply to this message to re-open this ticket and we'll be more than happy to help you. Best regards, Reg Ham".

No idea.  Just guessing: the currently allowed TLDs may be hardcoded in several places, and changing the code may be complicated and riskful.

Sorted. I've not heard anything from OpenDNS but I noticed the website is blocked now.

Indeed!  And the mentioned domain above is already categorized too.
