What OpenDNS product do you want this for?

    What is URC?

"anyone with access to this device can also look at other clients' networks."

What update client is this?  The official OpenDNS Updater for Windows?

"Please create a client-bound dynamic DNS agent (or something similar)"

No problem, here you go: https://updater.marc-hoersken.de/
Btw, there are even more, like ddclient or inadyn.  It's your choice!

    URC is 'Umbrella Roaming Client'

The product is the OpenDNS/Umbrella MSP services.

As an MSP, we have dozens of clients using OpenDNS. Many are small businesses without a static connection so they need a dynamic updater of some sort, which gives us the problem I've described above.

We use the updater with a general 'service organization' level account and risk exposing information (even if that information is just network name) between clients, or we use a 'client organization' level account... and have to make dozens of these accounts (with unique email addresses) to do so.

An updater bound to the client (like the URC is) would solve both problems.

And the alternative update clients I listed would not help here?

Unfortunately none seem to address this specific concern.
