Android
I followed steps to set up on our android exactly, but it does not want to let me save the settings, and the test shows it is not working. AlsoI successfully set it up on our home computer network, because it did not work on our router. We have a labtop, 3 phones, and a computer and we use wi fi. Is there an easy way to connect them all from our home computer since the router is not working.
Thanks for any help!

There are so few details here that it's pretty much impossible to help you.
Which OpenDNS service are you trying to do all of this with. What exactly do you mean that it is not working, or things do not work with each other. Please provide exact error messages or screen shots (attached here, not via a 3rd party file sharing service, many of which the users here block via OpenDNS because they are security risks).

Do not know how to get a screen shot from Android settings. But I went through steps to set it up on phone, when I get to final step to click connect, it only wants to let me cancel. The connect words are gray colored. I successfully set this up on our home computer computer, since I the router option would not work. So now I just need to get it up and running on our phones. Does that help? Excuse my computer illiteratacy. :). Thanks so much!

"Do not know how to get a screen shot from Android settings."
What's your measure against this missing knowledge? I'll help you with this.
See here: http://bfy.tw/2sST or http://lmgtfy.com/?q=android+screen+shot"So now I just need to get it up and running on our phones."
If Android, then these instructions should help: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/228009007

Why not use one of those many apps?
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=DNS%20set&c=apps
You don't need to trouble around with the resistent Android network settings."Your directions are clearly incomplete."
Not entirely sure whom's directions you mean, but if you mean mine, the world has changed a lot since this thread has been created. Not only Android versions have significantly changed, there are also many helpers (apps) now on the Google Play Store.

Thanks for the reply. The link you copied is unfortunately dead. The directions I am referring to are on the OpenDNS configuration page which was updated 2 days ago. It can be found here: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/228009007-Android-Configuration-instructions-for-OpenDNS .

I cannot comment on OpenDNS' instructions, just that this configuration exercise is not really handy on Android and may not work at all, as seems to be in your case. In fact, the problem is not OpenDNS, but Android.
The link had strange control characters in it. I have corrected it. So use an app.

The instructions for Android at https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/228009007 do not work in Cyanogen 13.1.2 (Android 6.0.1). I could not find anywhere to post or send a comment except here.
Can someone who knows the article author Apostolos Kouloukourgiotis please ask him to put a note at the top explaining exactly what version of Android his instructions are for - and how to change DNS in other andoid phones.
