Parental Controls; disabling
AnsweredNetgear nighthawk N7000 router
I recently downloaded and enabled parental controls (PC) a few days ago mainly to block facebook to one of my employees (very small business). But, now I want to disable blocking so our office administrator can post to our business FB page.
Logging in to the Netgear OpenDNS portal/app I have chosen the "none" nothing blocked button and clicked on the changes 'save filtering level' button. The screen refreshes so I know it received the input from the click but the parental controls still says enabled when I log into the netgear. Clicking on the PC enabled area on the main basic page only opens up another instance of the OpenDNS page. Rebooting the netgear doesn't have much effect except booting everyone off the inter net for a couple minutes.
On a side note; I had the exact same N7000 a couple months before and it was easily turned on/off right from the block sites under security tab under admin controls. Changes took effect immediately. This one has no effect whatsoever.

Did you do all these changes through the Netgear Genie app? If not, you should do it this way!

Thanks rotblitz, it worked. I had to start the app from the desktop due to the app being loaded with a click while logged in to the router it didn't have all the functionality that it had initially. It is possible for me to have 3 different PC windows open with different functionality. Hard to explain but you jogged my memory from when I installed it.
Thanks a bunch.
