"I surely cannot be the only person to have suggested this."

You're right, your idea is probably a duplicate of many others.  Just one more.

So now, for the sake of clarity, what exact service are you referring to?  OpenDNS Home (VIP), Netgear LPC, Umbrella or what?

I am sure it is open DNS home.

Wow, bad chances!  OpenDNS have refused to implement any scheduling for this service, because of the technical implications and ongoing support efforts this comes with.  Due to the caching technology, especially also with DNS, switching the settings on a scheduled base is not feasible in the way you expect it to happen.

The only service which has some scheduling implemented is Netgear LPC, and this is rather a Netgear router function than an OpenDNS/LPC function.  So, if you want scheduling of any kind, you'll have to buy a Netgear router which supports LPC.

    Hi all

I have written an automated solution for this (OpenDNS block scheduling), which only requires a Windows computer & a web browser.

Contact me on Reddit (u/djek511) & I’ll elaborate, & share the files & steps to get set up.
