    Hello,

Cisco has for a while offered Cloud Security subscription products under the Cisco Umbrella branding: https://umbrella.cisco.com/
Cisco Umbrella is geared towards businesses and enterprises that require more robust and high grade security features.

We will continue to provide free consumer usage of basic DNS filtering services (equivalent to Home VIP)

    Best regards,

I received an email recently that said that OpenDNS Home VIP was going to be free.

Today, I was charged $21.60 for a year of Home VIP that will expire on 3/17/2025. I am confused. Why am I being charged for something that is going to be free in 2 weeks? Am I going to get something in the next year for my $21.60 that I am not going to get when Home VIP goes away on April 2, 2024?

OpenDNS has been great for my family for many many years. Please don't mess it up now.

    Hello,

VIP will stay in place for you for one year.

As for the home account that will be in place when VIP is at end of life there is no ETA on when and what will take place only that the account should roughly be the equivalent of the current VIP account.

If you wish you van cancel the VIP account. If you choose to do so please create support request.

I would like to thank you for the free service down through the years. My family are all grown up now and thanks to your service we have managed to keep our children safe while online. While our children were young we honestly couldnt afford any of the subscription services offered by the other providers. So thanks again and may God bless you your company and all your staff. Regards Sean Corcoran
