OpenDNS blocking some parts of the domain but not others

OpenDNS is successfully blocking most things it's supposed to; however, it is occasionally letting some things slip through. Specifically, it is occasionally allowing google searches via the address bar even though google.com is blocked and generally inaccessible. I am having the same problem with YouTube as well. Most of the time it is blocked, but occasionally following a link to a video will work if the link was on an approved page or in the Firefox provided suggestions. Is there anything I can do to lock it down more completely? I cannot reliably reproduce the problem; most of the time it is blocked with no settings changes.

    Hello, 

    Make sure that the domain google.com and youtube.com and entered in as shown and do not include the www prefix.

    If this does not resolve the problem please create a support request so the problem can be fully troubleshot.
