What is incredible is that OpenDNS is a internet security solution, protecting specially non tech users like children and elder people. Not only shutting down without warning what is more concerning is that a service like OpenDNS accepts an order without a fight considering the well it does to protect families. More, giving up a fight considering this is a non sense law order because anyone can use a free vpn service to by pass any ISP\Gov restrictions to download illegal content. Not even considering this a business opportunity, having free members to update to a paid subscription in order to compensate for the legal battle.

What a shame and farewell, looking for an alternative...

In fact, we are fighting and have appealed the decision. I am limited in what I can share given this is active litigation.

    Hi @Adam Winn,

    Thanks for your words here.
If I totally understood that you must comply with court order (and good luck with that, I will be happy if you won), what I found a bit annoying is that the service was stopped without any notification for us and during work hours (CET timezone)

I was in the middle of a meeting and things start to no more working suddenly.
I would have appreciated advance notice

    Best  regards,
    Brouno
