Motorola MG7540
If you use Motorola MG7540 (that I bought in Jan 2018), you need to do this:
1. set DNS servers using this setting
2. go to Advanced view > Basic Router > DHCPv6
and Disable the DHCPv6 Server and the Stateless DHCPv6
3. restart your PC and the Windows ipconfig /all will show you only OpenDNS servers
If you'll NOT do #2 from the above, ipconfig /all will show you IPv6 'feed' servers as below and OpenDNS will not work
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . :
2001:558:feed::1
2001:558:feed::2
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
2001:558:feed::2
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
BIG thanks to Eddie L from the Motorola support for responding to my question (case: 27035) and giving me instructions for #2.

Thanks! For my Motorola MG7540 purchased in November 2020:
1. With Xfinity it always reverts to dual mode, leave it alone.
2. Log in to the router and go to BASIC ROUTER > DHCPv6 and disable everything.
This will pass everything thru OpenDNS on Ethernet and WiFi connections, if you changed the DNS settings under STATUS > CONNECTION.
