How to Block Google Images and Yahoo Images without blocking the search function
I currently use K9webprotection. K9webprotection is pretty customizable and works a lot better than Net Nanny. It gives you options of what you want to block and unblock. It does, however, have one major weakness, the same weakness it appears many frustrated OpenDNS and Net Nanny users have. It cannot block Google Images or Yahoo Images without blocking Google Search and Yahoo Search. The fact is, if your internet filter can't block Google Images or Yahoo Images without blocking the search functionality it pretty much renders your internet filter useless because you can still see all those inappropriate images.
I've searched high and low all over the internet trying to find some way to Block Google Images and Yahoo Images or to find a web filter that will do this, but none can, except for one I recently found. It is called Pluckeye and you can find it at Pluckeye.net. It can block all videos and images on the internet while leaving the text unimpaired. It also gives you the option to whitelist the pages you want so you can get the video and images on the pages you want. Right now, Pluckeye is primarily for self-moderators and works by giving the user an option to specify a time of delay before a page is whitelisted, but I'm in talks with the programmer to hopefully get a password protection option in the near future (I'm sure if enough of us e-mail him that we want this option he will do it). Pluckeye is the only web filter that can do this and it may be worth your time to check it out, or come back to it in the near future when there is a password protection option (fingers crossed).

Well, yeah.. Pluckeye can.. but you can do that yourself as well, see http://www.pluckeye.net/how-to-block-google-images.html. However, it doesn't just block google images, but ALL images on ALL websites. And that isn't something that's desired..
