Spectrum Modem with Nighthawk Router
I have a Ubee E31_2V1 from Spectrum and a Netgear Nighthawk AC2300 R7000p-100NAS. I was wondering what the correct configuration would be? If it is even possible having the Ubee modem from Spectrum itself?

This is the only thing I can find and its the exact same document Spectrum provides even online. Not much help.
I am more inquiring on about some post I've seen talking about DNS changes being disabled on a ISP provided modem/router.
Also, in general if you change DNS settings on the modem or Wi-Fi router when you have both and not a all in one..

This is not a user manual, but just a useless data sheet with some technical specs.
If you find that this Ubee device is in bridged mode, i.e. not a NAT device, you connect the Netgear router and configure OpenDNS on this, according to the instructions for Netgear routers in the knowledge base.

Yes, this is sometimes the case in the effort to make things easy and to prevent from support efforts by ISPs.

As I said, you configure the DNS settings on the NAT device (router), rarely on the bridged device (modem). If both are NAT devices, then you must try out what works.
