Block vpn
Hi - I found out that my child has been bypassing my opendns filter by using vpn 360 app on his iPhone. I had the proxy/anonymizer checked too. I setup my TP-Link archer router to only use opendns 208.67.220.220/208.67.222.222 and block other port 53. Is there any other way to block vpn 360? Thank you!

I should add that I downloaded vpn 360 on my iPhone to test it by going to https://welcome.opendns.com and I get You aren't using OpenDNS yet. Let's fix that.

You can block only domains or categories of domains with a DNS service like OpenDNS, not apps or any other objects. To prevent a VPN service from working, you need to block the related ports and protocols being used by this VPN app on the router, similar as you blocked port 53 passthrough. Also, iOS has a restrictions feature where you can block certain apps and the ability to download and install them.

This blocks domains being categorized as such. itunes.apple.com is not categorized as Proxy/Anonymizer, of course. As I said, OpenDNS does not block installed apps, just domains from being queried via DNS.

Yes, no need to mention it. This is typical when using a VPN service.
