The usual reason for these symptoms is that your IP address is not registered at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/

Thanks! I have the auto update enabled with application, but for some reason it wasn't working. I manually updated and it's working now.

    @devoras

No, you don't have the same issue, else you wouldn't have hi-jacked this thread for posting this here.  My solution above would have helped.

Now, copy & paste the complete plain text output of the following diagnostic commands to here:

    nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
    nslookup whoami.akamai.net.
netsh interface ipv4 show config (Windows only)

    Hi! thanks for your help.

    Server: 127.0.0.53
    Address: 127.0.0.53#53

    ** server can't find debug.opendns.com: NXDOMAIN

    Server: 127.0.0.53
    Address: 127.0.0.53#53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: whoami.akamai.net
    Address: 94.230.91.22

    I am using Ubuntu

This is the DNS configuration you're using:

    Server: 127.0.0.53
    Address: 127.0.0.53#53

And the DNS server 127.0.0.53 doesn't seem to forward your DNS traffic to the router and on to OpenDNS.  Your options:

    • Change the forwarding on 127.0.0.53 to your router or to OpenDNS,
    • Or change the network settings to obtain DNS server addresses automatically via DHCP from the router,
    • Or configure your router's IP address as the only one DNS server address,
    • Or configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses as DNS server addresses.

    Thank you for your time!

What do you suggest is best for me to do ?

Also can you please tell me how to it ?

I am not exactly sure what you mean by each option.

    Thanks again!

Sorry, we other users are not here to provide a beginner course for Ubuntu users.  Visit an Ubuntu forum to ask questions about network configuration of your OS.  It has nothing to do with OpenDNS.

The article at https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/228007087 may provide you with additional ideas.
