Netgear r7800 parental control not working Open DNS Vigor 120 bridge modem
Hello,
I know that many people seem to have problems with Netgear and OpenDNS LPC.
I have spent hours trying to fix with no result, any further pointers greatly appreciated.
I have Sky UK ADSL, Draytek Vigor 120 modem (PPPoA/PPPoE bridge mode). R7800 router.
Setup parental controls through router, openDNS account logged in.
Tried moderate and high settings and porn still gets through. I have not touched DNS settings (even though by logging into OpenDNS the correct ipv4 opendns address's are populated into the router.
Also tried copying the DNS address's to the vigor control panel.
Disabled ipv6.
Router FW V1.0.2.62
Thanks

You're still raising your DNS queries via IPv6:
Server: UnKnown
Address: fe80::8e3b:adff:feba:bbb8This is your router's internal IPv6 address (Unique Local Address - ULA). I suggest you disable IPv6 in the active network connection on your computer too, although it may work as it is now, as shown by your command outputs.
And yes, in some cases it might help to downgrade the firmware. This is reported in several threads here.
Glad to hear that it works now for you.
