For Web Content Filtering why did the IP address of the network I'm managing change to the IP of the system I logged in from? I attached an image below.
Background: I set up a network and labeled it homeNetwork. At the time homeNetwork was created the IP address of my router was automatically attached to this network. However when I logged in to perform management from a different network the IP address associated with homeNetwork changed to the IP address of the new network I had just logged in from. This change appears to stop web content filtering from functioning on the original network.
Question: What am I doing wrong? I'd like to set up my network, assign it an IP address and then manage this network from a PC outside the original network. Is that possible? I must be missing something. Thanks so much for any help!
However when I login from a different network to do maintenance the IP address attached to my network automatically changes to the new network that I logged in from. This seems to stop OpenDNS filtering on the original network.
