Google Hangouts chat

Hi all,

Trying to block google hangouts and its not working.  

If I block google as a search engine it does work but I want to use the search engine.  Is there anyway to just block hangouts chat, video and call (via app or browser) and leave Google search engine available ?

  Thanks Rotblitz...I saw that thread but it didn't actually fix or address the issue using opendns to block hangouts.  Has the brainstrust got any other ideas on how to block the nemesis known as Google hangouts?

  I've tried it and you can still get message through on chat. Give it a go and get back to me as I can't block it even with your description on how to block it as it still gets through. The theory is there but in actuality it doesn't work. Please provide an definitive answer by stating block "a.google.com" domain and "b.google.com" domain etc...etc... and we can get this issue resolved.
