Im a casual gamer, and im looking to use OpenDNS as a utility. I play minecraft and im trying to connect to a host network to play on a selected server. The host name is invalid and im lead to believe its a DNS issue, to complicated thing I fear that the ISP may to blame as well, as I can connect to other host servers just fine without issue. I can go to a different computer on a different ISP and achieve logging into the server with no issues. But running to the next town over from my house seem impractical to play games. ive tried every solution under the sun to fix the "Cant resolve the hostname" issue. This issue applies to other games, I have a basic home network setup, 2 computers on 2 separate accounts with 2 different set of login credentials, wireless or not. Are unable to both login at the same time to a game server to play/host games, or through luck of it working, attempting to play or join game or hop onto the server, boots the player attempting, back to the login screen without notice. or get caught in the vicious cycle of not being to login while the other is not. I dont know if it boils down to a router issue or a improper setup, as taking the computer to another location across town cleared the issue right up.
