Anyone got OpenDNS working behind an eero?
Setup: home Eero Pro router. My son's computer is a Win10 PC. I've followed the Win10 setup steps but it looks like Eero is intercepting the DNS requests since A) none of the OpenDNS tests are working (e.g. welcome.opendns.com or internetbadguys.com) and B) the debug nslookup doesn't contain the right opendns info (pasted below).
Why use OpenDNS when Eero has built-in content filtering? Well, Eero's Secure+ is a simple ON/OFF and can't customize to say, restrict youtube.com or other domain black/whitelisting. I tried removing this Win10 device from the Eero "profile" that applies Secure+ filtering but saw the same nslookup results (and failed OpenDNS tests)
**Anyone able to get OpenDNS working behind one of these popular home wifi systems such as Eero? ** Thanks!

It seems that people were able to use OpenDNS with an Eero router.
See https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360060176752It could well be that the problem is not your router, but your ISP redirecting your DNS traffic to their DNS service. You would have to call them to opt out from this redirection. They may call it DNS proxy or so.
Your IP address and your dashboard are irrelevant as long as you do not use OpenDNS.
