I can't get OpenDNS to work at home.
I made an account on OpenDNS and setup my IP there. I blocked youtube as as an example.
I also set my DNS record in the router settings.
I also checked with nslookup and my router is the one resolvong the queries.
I restarted my router and laptop tried clearing DNS cache. But youtube is still accessible.

You are not using OpenDNS yet.
Check at http://welcome.opendns.com/Post the output of this diagnostic command:
nslookup -type=txt which.opendns.com. 208.67.222.222If this still indicates you are not using OpenDNS, then the culprit is your ISP redirecting your DNS traffic to their own DNS service. You had to call them to opt out from this redirection.
