Windows Genie wont open Parental Controls

Nighthawk R7000

Latest firmware - V1.0.11.104_10.2.100

Latest Genie - Version 2.4.62

Stops at Checking router firmware...Please make sure your computer is connected... turn off your router and turn it back on etc. TRY AGAIN

Never connects.

Android nighthawk app only has disney circle option. I would like OpenDNS to work.

You can disable LPC, and use OpenDNS Home instead.

Yes, I am trying to use opendns.

The genie app refused to connect.

All of a sudden it worked when I tried it right now.

The app had logged me out - asked me to login in again.

Is there a way to force a logout in GENIE for next time - or do i wait for it to timeout?

No idea, I don’t have a Netgear router. You better ask in the Netgear community forum.

It's a major failure between Netgear and OpenDNS.

Netgear disabled connectivity through Genie, only option is the Nighthawk app and it has terrible support/features.
