Netgear/ 'straight' openDNS account issue

Hello Everyone,

I have a Netgear modem router that allows parental controls through openDNS.  I tried to set up opendns parental controls -a blacklist- through the Netgear opendns login page....this failed to block sites.

So I logged in to OpenDNS through the Cisco homepage link...and this was successful for a time but it is not reliably blocking stuff.

Is it possible to delete a netgear-linked opendns account (or network) and preserve my openDNS account which actually works ?

  Disable LPC on the router, configure the OpenDNS addresses, and use only the OpenDNS dashboard.

  do as rotblitz said because you can use or other but not both
