Blocked domains are getting reset

I started using OpenDNS with the sole intention of blocking Youtube at my home. With the kids attending school remotely, the computer was turning from a tool to a major distraction. About a month ago I configured OpenDNS and appeared to be working as expected. The OpenDNS was applied to the Wifi Router and Youtube.com and any variation of the website URL stopped working. 3-4 days passed and suddenly I noticed my kids were accessing Youtube again. I checked OpenDNS config for Web Filtering and the Blocked Domains were gone. I applied them again and saved. Once again, YouTube stopped working. A day passed and again it was accessible, the blocked domains cleared. I tried this again and again with no avail. It kept getting reset. I opened a Support ticket but it’s been more than a week with no response. I read somewhere in the forum that the Free version has limited cache and logs so I upgraded to Home VIP but unfortunately, the issue is still not resolved. I tried with using the predefined categories like Video Sharing. YouTube is blocked but a few hours after, OpenDns is back again to the defaults and Web Filtering is set to None. Have anyone in the forum experienced this or have any hints on how to resolve it? My router is Google Wifi.

  Try changing your OpenDNS password to one that your kids do not know or cannot guess.

  And don‘t forget to change the password in the update client too.

  That crossed my mind but the shouldn’t know the password. I’ve applied the change while they are sleeping and the settings are reset the next morning. Just in case there is some software doing this I will change the password.

  I am not aware of software being able to do such dashboard settings changes. It needs a human, logging into your account, to perform these changes.
