MY SCENARIO: Khan Academy seems to use YouTube to serve up their educational videos, but I've taken a blanket approach to block all video sites. My child can't open the Khan videos by default.
To solve this, I needed to add seven or so Khan Academy-related domain names to my OpenDNS allow list to restore video services (which I've otherwise blocked) and ensure all other functionality for the platform.
THE PROBLEM: Some of these domains don't include the word "khan" in them and I'll likely quickly forget what they pertain to two weeks from now and then I'm at risk of removing them and breaking functionality from my kid's perspective.
MY IDEA: OpenDNS should have an editable comment field for each block/allow entry so we have some hope of tracking why we took the action we did. (Yes I could keep a side-list in a spreadsheet but... UGH! Please no.)
