netgear D7000 - your device appears to be registered with another OpenDNS user

hi,

friend gave me his D7000 router and i want to setup my parental controls, however it keeps giving me the error, "netgear D7000 - your device appears to be registered with another OpenDNS user"

i have submitted a ticket request over a week ago and had no answer. this whole system is a mess

 

how to i get parental controls working?
