Blocking the use of the desktop between 11pm and 8am

My son stays up late playing Mind craft, sometimes until 4 in the morning.  I want the desktop to be blocked from 10:30pm or 11pm to 8am. I set the setting to do that and it does not work.

  Enter two schedules, one before midnight and the other after.
