NetGear c7000 and Parental controls does not work
Not even sure if I should post here or post in Netgear. It seems I cannot get Parental Controls to work on my Netgear c7000 cable modem.
OpenDNS account and filter set up, On chrome, I can go into 192.168.0.1 default Netgear page and see Parental Controls enabled, select it, I can see video sharing is check and saved. But on any browser, I can still goto youtube without problem. I want to block youtube period from kids access.
On Netgear genie desktop app, go to Parental Controls, all buttons in Status show grey out, it would indicate it's not enable. The bottom has a generic message said not connecting to the internet through a supporte NETGEAR router.
So, I am somewhat at lost. Is Netgear removing the Parental Controls feature with OpenDNS already ? Or am I missing some settings ?
Bottom line, it's not working and I am trying to make it to work.
Thank you !

I have the same problem. The router itself doesn't block minecraft and neither does parental controls. I've googled and it seems to be a fairly big problem people are having in general. There are long-winded solutions that so far aren't working for me, but I should not have to go through lengthy processes to get it to work, it should work as per my expectations using the function.
