Google Classroom, chat, hangouts - which category?

I want to block gaming and chat except for Google Classroom, Google Chat, Hangouts etc which are part of their classroom tools. I'm unclear if this would fall under chat or instant-messaging categories. Can anyone advise?

  None of those domains are categorized under instant messaging.

  If you are having any problem with those domains I would suggest you add these domains to your Always Allow (Whitelist) 

  classroom.google.com

  mail.google.com/chat

  hangouts.google.com
